Juan Pablo has extensive experience in representing local and foreign clients on domestic and cross-border financing transactions including corporate and project finance. Juan Pablo also has broad experience representing local and foreign clients on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances.

He has experience providing advice in matters relating to financial regulation, including the authorization, incorporation and start-up of operations of various institutions in the financial sector.

Likewise, Juan Pablo has experience representing issuers and financial intermediaries in the issuance of capital and debt, public and private, both in Mexico and abroad.

On April 16, 2025, Mexico’s President published in the Official Gazette of the Federation the new Law on Public Procurement, Leasing, and Services (the "Law"), through the decree that enacts the Law on Public Procurement, Leasing, and Services and amends, adds, and repeals various provisions of the Federal Law on Republican Austerity, the Law on Social and Solidarity Economy, and the General Law on Cooperative Societies.
