Claudio Jimenez has more than 20 years of experience advising national, foreign, public and private companies in their labor relationships with their employees in various industries such as oil & gas, energy, construction, aviation, banking, retail, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, beverages, technology, among others.

Mr. Jimenez has been recognized by Chambers and Partners Latin America as a leader in labor and employment practice in Mexico. Also, the labor and employment practice area led by Mr. Jimenez has also been recommended and recognized by The Legal 500 Guide.

His experience ranges from consultancy, individual and collective litigation, and appeal proceedings (Juicios de Amparo). Mr. Jimenez is constantly involved in high profile employees’ termination proceedings and collective termination processes. He also works hand-in-hand with the firms’ criminal compliance investigations, M&A and tax practices, providing a comprehensive approach and solutions to our clients by identifying, mitigating, and often times preventing, employment related and labor contingencies.

From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Jimenez worked at Mayer Brown LLP (Houston, Texas office) in the litigation and corporate practice groups.

On April 3, 2026, the Decree reforming, adding, and repealing various provisions of the Federal Law for the Protection of Industrial Property (the "LFPPI") was published in the Federal Official Gazette (Diario Oficial de la Federación), concerning Technology Transfer and the Simplification of the Patent and Registration Protection Process. The Decree came into effect on the day following its publication, that is, on April 4, 2026.

On March 19, 2026, President Claudia Sheinbaum, following up on what was presented in her infrastructure plan last February, presented to the Chamber of Deputies the Initiative for the Promotion of Investment in Strategic Infrastructure for Development with Welfare (the "Law"), which establishes a specific legal framework to promote investment, Co-investment and financing of strategic public infrastructure projects with coordinated participation of the public, private and social sectors. It creates vehicles and governance bodies to channel resources, distribute risks and accelerate priority projects, under principles of fiscal stability, transparency, austerity and alignment with national development plans. It contemplates a special regime of procurement, support and benefits, as well as specific reforms to the Federal Law of Budget and Fiscal Responsibility to strengthen planning, registration and accountability of multi-year commitments.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, the Decree amending, adding, and repealing various provisions of the Regulations to the Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Transactions with Funds from Illicit Sources ("LFPIORPI") was published in the Evening Edition of the Official Gazette of the Federation, which entered into force on March 28, 2026. The reform aligns the Regulations with the amendments to the LFPIORPI published in 2025 and substantially strengthens the supervisory and sanctioning framework for anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing.
