He is also a relevant practitioner in M&A and Energy practice areas. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, joint-ventures and divestitures, securities regulation, corporate and structured finance, infrastructure, energy and general corporate law.

He regularly advises issuers in diverse local and cross border tender offers, acquisitions, buyouts, and joint ventures advising both buyers and sellers, also institutional investors and private equity investors in different industries, including regulated industries and public companies.

In addition, he has collaborated in a variety of debt and equity issuances in the Mexican market and routinely advises diverse Mexican and foreign banks in lending transactions to Mexican companies and regulatory matters.

Following recent regulatory developments in telecommunications and broadcasting, on October 7, 2025, the President sent to the Senate her proposal for candidates for commissioners to be part of the Plenum of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission ("CRT"). On October 14, the Senate ratified the appointment of the commissioners proposed by the President and on October 16, 2025, the President appointed Norma Solano Rodríguez as Chairwoman of the CRT. With this, as of October 17, 2025, the constitutional reform on organic simplification published on December 20, 2024 in the Official Gazette of the Federation (“DOF”) came into force, by which the Federal Telecommunications Institute ("IFT") is extinguished, and the CRT starts operations as the sole authority in telecommunications and broadcasting.

The Senate has approved the tax reform proposal for fiscal year 2026 submitted by the Federal Executive, which include: (I) Federal Revenue Law ("FRL"), (II) Federal Fiscal Code ("FFC"), (III) Excise Tax Law ("ETL") and (IV) Federal Duties Law ("FDL"). It should be noted that, as further discussed, the FRL contains amendments to the Income Tax Law ("ITL") and the Value Added Tax Law ("VATL").

On October 23, 2025, the National Energy Commission (the "CNE", per its acronyms in Spanish) published in the Federal Official Gazette the General Administrative Provisions that set forth the legal, technical, and financial terms to apply for the issuance and amendment of power generation and storage permits, as well as their validity (the "Regulations", per its acronym in Spanish).
